Come and join us this year!

This year looks like it is set to be our biggest season for Divemaster and Instructor certifications. We have already confirmations from students from a wide range of countries and from a variety of different backgrounds.

This means for us, we have a fun team who help us make the most of High Season and for our Divemaster and Instructor Trainees they have a fun group to work with to learn all the skills they need to become a great professional diver.

If you some questions regarding professional courses, staying on the island or anything really, I am happy to do my best to answer them and will happily put you in touch with previous Trainees so you can ask them their advice too.

Hope to see you this High Season

Make the ocean your office!

Want to look out of your office window and see sunshine, clear warm waters and the most amazing aquatic life? Want to travel the world and be able to work almost anywhere?

Then you need to qualify as a PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor. This is not only a wonderful way of life, you will find teaching hugely rewarding and find that your PADI rating is recognised all over the world.

If you are already qualified as a PADI Divemaster, then you are only 10-12 days away from becoming an instructor. We, at Blue Planet Divers, have a Platinum Course Director, Camille Lemmens, who will coach you through the skills, classroom teaching and theory to ensure you pass with flying colours. If you take our next instructor course, you will be ready for High season in Koh Lanta.
Karolina found her instructor course particularly stressful!

Our next Instructor course starts on the 7th November running through to the 16th November with the Instructors Exam happening on Lanta on the 19th & 20th November 2011. This will see you qualified just before Christmas (the busiest time on Lanta) and as we offer our graduates the ability to team teach alongside our experienced instructors for their first course, you will be ready and able to teach!

If you are interested or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, blueplanetdivers@gmail.com

Hope to see you soon

Our PADI Divemaster Internship

Blue Planet Divers, offers a number of internships each high season. For those trainees willing to work for us we offer a reduced course cost . The work is not hard, can be fun and you even have the possibility of earning commission too.

Internships last for 3 months, and depending on whether you choose the partial of full internship you will work for 2 or 4 days per week. That gives you 1 day off (or you can choose to use this for your course) and the rest of the days are spent on your course (helping instructors, learning Boatmaster, theory, Guiding etc). We normally recommend the partial internship as this gives you loads of time during the 3 months you are with us to get everything done (oh and lots of diving).

To become an intern with us, you need to have a friendly and outgoing personality, as you may do a range of work with us, but it will all be related to diving and most of it will be in one of our shops. We are not looking for people to do hard sales and you wont be hassling tourists on the streets. We just require you to answer customer enquiries and get them excited about diving as much as you are.

So if it sounds like something you could do and you fancy living in the sunshine for a few months, contact me, Mellisa for more information.

The April IDC

April, saw 3 of our very own Divemaster Trainees, start and complete their Instructor Courses.

Well you would have thought they were my kids, with the way I worried about them! But I need not have, they all passed with flying colours, thanks to Camille....... now lets party!

March IDC

Luke, Cody and Paul easily finished their IDC's and IE's and so Blue Planet Divers felt the need to party!
